“Sympathy Magic” from Florence + The Machine’s sixth studio album, Everybody Scream. The song’s title is a play on “sympathetic magic,” a term Florence Welch misheard while researching historical witchcraft and healing at the Warburg Institute.
“Song of the Future” by U2 is part of their surprise six-track EP, Days of Ash. The song is a political tribute dedicated to Sarina Esmailzadeh, a 16-year-old Iranian girl who was killed by security forces during the 2022 “Woman, Life, Freedom” protests.
Now playing on The Planet’s New Music Monday.
