“Downstairs” by Matt Maeson is from his third studio album, ‘A Quiet and Harmless Living.’ He wrote the song during a difficult time after the birth of his son and found himself exhausted while trying to balance his career, marriage, and fatherhood. He would often isolate himself downstairs to cope.
