Tina LaNelle always had a love for music and started singing at a very young age. Although she didn’t pursue a musical career right away, it was always in the back of her mind as the end goal.
She found inspiration from musicians like Whitney Houston, Boys 2 Men, and Mariah Carey, but most importantly, found musical inspiration from within herself. Tina’s personal music helped her through life’s ups and downs and saved her on many occasions. She would grab a notebook, write out her heart into words, and sing it out loud. Singing her personal words became a healing process for her and that is her goal for other people. She wants her music to help people in whatever situation they are in.
Tina’s first single was written by her and a fellow native to Western Colorado, Chase Martinez (Lost Terra), who also helped produce it. Tina had been writing for years, with many ideas, hooks, and some choruses that she wanted to use one day, but never had a finished song until her debut single ‘Love Me.’
“My first single isn’t what I thought my first single might be. I think we always play in our minds what those firsts might be, but it is exactly what its supposed to be. I write best when I’m in the moment of that feeling. It’s expressed in the song because I was feeling it in that time. I think that makes it extra special. It’s not a feeling i’m relating to but one I was engulfed in at the present moment.”
